At FDB, we hold an annual gathering, usually in Oslo. Given that we are spread across the country, it is important to have this meeting place, and we use the time for necessary and required training, education, and updates on all our internal tools.
A recurring feature of our annual gathering is the course in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and the use of defibrillators. We had a firefighter from the Oslo Fire Department as the instructor. With all his experience and the stories, he could tell, it became extra interesting, exciting, and motivating to carry out the exercises.
Early in the development of HydroCord, our tool for data collection, data transport, and data analysis, we became aware of the challenges related to Cybersecurity in our solutions. Our internal Cyber expert showed us how HydroCord fits well into contemporary models for IT/OT security, and in the process, we gained an understanding of all the possibilities that open with the correct Cyber adaptation of our products.
Out joint dinner was at an Ethiopian restaurant in downtown Oslo. Exciting dishes and good coffee as a finish. All in all, a very successful two days with refreshments for both the mind and the stomach.
